Data and Insights Homepage
This tab displays the data as a Data & Insights dashboard, with tables and graphs.

Data & Insights dashboard presents the data in two parts:
at the top, an Overview of the company’s farms that provides a summary of the farmed area and the farms’ status, including the number and type of alerts (Moisture and Growth alerts)

below, a central Farms & Fields table offers a more detailed farm and field-level status, with rows for each field that are hyperlinked to their respective detailed Field Insight Pages

The Overview enables the user to quickly evaluate the company’s overall status and determine if any areas require attention. From there, the user can delve deeper by identifying which specific fields in a farm need further focus.
The left side Field Selection Panel allows users to filter which Farm’s and/or Field’s data displays, by Date, Company, Name, or Crop Type. Users can view or change the Date (with the dropdown arrow), show only Active Farms and Fields (with toggle button next to ‘Farms and fields’), Search (with search bar or drop down arrow) to Filter fields by Crop Type (e.g. Sugarbeet) or to Filter fields by Name.

By clicking on the down arrow (to the left of the farm name), the menu expands from Farm to Field level. Each drop-down row represents a Field, and the two circles to its right (either blank, red, or yellow) represent the presence of Moisture alerts and/or Growth alerts (in line with the droplet and leaf icons above).

While
the portal opens to all the most recent Date’s, users can select other data to be displayed using the same Field Selection Panel on the left side.

Users can narrow down their data interests to a single Farm or Field (with deeper insights) by clicking on its name (in left panel or central table).

Users can view insights at the Farm level, or deeper Field Insights Page with more data and graphs, explained in the module sections linked at the bottom of this page.

Users can also Switch Company (if multiple on the account), Create New Farm/ Field (available only for Managers and Editors), or use Data Tools (to Download data or Add Data). The option to Add Data is an advanced feature available to Managers and Editors, allowing them to manually incorporate data related to field irrigation events or rainfall information collected from weather stations or rain gauges.
To download and export table data, click the Data Tools button in the Data & Insights section of either the company, farm, or field page, depending on whether you want to download company, farm, or field data. Next, select “Download Data” from the drop-down menu, and a pop-up window will appear. In this window, users can view the download’s Company/Farm/Field name, select the Date Range (either Latest Day, Full History, or Specific Range), select the File Format (either CSV, Excel .xlsx, or JSON), then finally push the Download button (or Cancel button to restart).

To add data on irrigation or rainfall events, click the Data Tools button, then click the Add Data in the drop-down, and a pop-up window will appear. In this window, Managers and Editors can add outside information related to fields’ irrigation activities or rainfall information at farm or field level. For a more automated transfer of this information from the weather station, refer to the API documentation for instructions on how to link weather stations and orders.
The central Farms & Fields table contains rows of Farm(s), with columns for: Field Moisture (alerts), Growth (alerts), Crop (type), Area (in ha) and field-specific irrigation information such as the Date of next irrigation.
Users can organize or narrow the data shown in the table by using these columns to search, sort, and filter.

Users can:
▪   Search for a Field’s name (with the search bar under Field)
▪   Sort to rank rows by low-to-high or high-to-low values (with the arrows)
▪   Filter to show All rows, or only rows with Alerts/ No Alerts (with the All menu)

This table can expand (from Farm rows) to also show each Field as a row, by clicking the drop-down arrow (on the far left of the Farm row).

A user can access deeper analytics in a Field Insights Page by selecting it using the Field Selection Panel or using the Farms & Fields Table. These pages contain insights surrounding Irrigation, Vegetation, and Weather. On each of these pages, by clicking the Show History drop-down menu (on the right), users can adjust the timeline of records, to select either: 15 days, 30 days (default), 60 days, or All time:

By clicking the Options button (top right corner), managers and editors can edit the field and update registration details such as the Field name, the associated Farm, Irrigation, and Soil information. Additionally, in the Edit Field section, Managers and Editors can “Plant a New Crop” in the field. The “Add Data” option for Managers and Editors, or the “Download Data” option for all users, is also available from the Field Insights Page, similar to the Data Tools options button on the Farm Insights Page.
  • Adding a new crop: 'Plant a New Crop' is used to add another crop cycle in a field where a previous crop was grown. This action resets all accumulated values (irrigation, precipitation, actual evapotranspiration, net carbon supply, soil organic matter, crop growth, GDU) and begins accumulating them from the newly planted crop.

If the new planting dates are in the past (before today’s date), the calculations must be redone for each day up to the updated sowing date. This requires a backward calculation, which must be triggered by Customer Support (contact irriwatch@hydrosat.com).

If the new planting dates are for today or in the future, Editors or Managers in your company or subcompany can log into the portal, click on 'Edit Field,' and select 'Plant a New Crop.' This procedure still requires approval from Customer Support but does not require recalculation.

Updating sowing date for a crop: Sometimes the order is started, and the sowing dates initially set aren't correct. To ensure proper accumulation, it is important to use the correct sowing dates. If the date is in the past, please contact irriwatch@hydrosat.com. If the date is today or in the future, simply update the 'Planted Date' in the crop section.
